Definition:  a feature of the plant population (EFO:plant population) characterizing the altitudinal level or multiple levels at which the individuals may occur.

Comment:  The altitudinal levels occupied by the individuals of a plant population might differ according to the floristic zone or the exposition which are finally derived from the species' distribution area. The levels can be ordered according to increasing altitude as follows: lowland, colline, montane, subalpine, alpine. If individuals of a population occur in different altitudinal levels, the whole amplitude of the assigend altitudinal levels represent the altitudinal range of the respective population.
