Formal name:  dispersule dry mass
Local identifier:  TOP110
Related Term:  dispersule size
Related Term:  dispersule weight
Definition:  the mass (PATO:mass) of a dispersule (Perez:dispersule) or component thereof, i.e. seed, fruit or germinule (PO:seed, PO:fruit, Leda:germinule) assessed after drying
Formal Unit:  mass unit

Comment:  "when known, the component of the dispersule on which the measurements have been taken should be specified: seed, fruit, germinule. The term ""dispersule weight"" should not be used since the mass of an object is constant, while its weight varies with the effect of gravity. The term ""dispersule size"" is polysemic and we suggest to not use it in this context."
